What is Kitmondo?
Kitmondo connects buyers and sellers of used equipment.Our goal is to create an efficient online trading destination for dealers, manufacturers and end-users and to provide a service that helps our customers increase sales and reduce costs.
Which countries does Kitmondo operate in?
Kitmondo is a global platform. Buyers and sellers in 80 countries use the site to buy and sell used and surplus equipment.
Who sells on Kitmondo?
About 95% of sellers on Kitmondo are businesses. We are focused on providing the best trading tools, service and results to equipment dealers, corporations and organisations who wish to sell used equipment.

Membership
How much does it cost?
Kitmondo’s fees are based upon how many qualified sales enquiries you receive from us each month. We have 4 different membership plans:
If you want to receive up to 8 sales enquiries each month it is free
If you want to receive up to 20 sales enquiries each month it is $49 p/month
If you want to receive up to 50 sales enquiries each month it is $89 p/month
If you want to receive up to 100 sales enquiries each month please contact us for a price

What is a "sales enquiry"?
If someone is interested in the equipment you have listed on Kitmondo.com they will send an enquiry via the website. Once we have checked the enquiry for spam and irregularities we will send it on to you in the form of an email. We call this a sales enquiry.
How many sales enquiries am I likely to receive?
This largely depends on how how many separate equipment listings you have on the Kitmondo.com website and how much demand there is from potential customers. If you’re in doubt, simply sign up to the Seller plan (which is free) so you can measure how many sales enquiries you are likely to receive each month.
What happens if I receive fewer enquiries than expected?
If you select a paid plan you will only be charged the fee if you receive the minimum number of sales enquiries as stated in that particular plan. So, for example, if you select the Seller Plus membership plan you will only pay the $49 fee if you receive more than 8 sales enquiries (and less than 20) in that particular month. If you receive 8 sales enquiries or fewer you will only be charged the Seller plan, which is free.
Do I have to pay any commission if I make a sale?
No. We do not charge any commission if you make a sale.
How do I upgrade my membership plan?
If you want to receive more than the maximum number of sales enquiries allowed in your plan simply login and press the Upgrade button on your My Listings page. You will be shown a table containing the different membership options – decide which one is suitable and press the Sign Up button.
If I sign up to a paid plan do I have to sign a long contract?
No. Kitmondo's membership plans are monthly and you can cancel at any time.
How do I cancel my membership?
Simply email us at customerteam@kitmondo.com or call us on +1 508 644 8489 and we will cancel your membership.

How much equipment can I list?
As much as you want. There are no listing restrictions.
How will buyers contact me?
When a buyer reads your equipment listing and decides they want to discuss it further, we enable them to send a message to you via a “Contact the Seller” box next to your listing. We call this a sales enquiry.
How will I know when I have received a sales enquiry?
We will send sales enquiries to you via email. Each email will contain the buyer’s contact details and their message to you. Your enquiries are also archived on the website – simply login and click the My Enquiries button.
How do you ensure the quality of the sales enquiries?
Each customer enquiry is passed through a two stage filtering process:
- An automated filter identifies spam or non-genuine enquiries
- A member of the Kitmondo team assesses the enquiry and looks for a range of negative indicators (e.g. fraud signals, inaccurate data etc)
Naturally we cannot guarantee every sales enquiry will lead to a sale. But if you are ever dissatisfied with a sales enquiry you receive from us we will refund the cost without question.
What happens if I receive a non-authentic sales enquiry?
We do all we can to ensure the messages you receive are from people who are genuinely interested in your listing. However, if you feel you’ve received a message that is inappropriate please email us at abuse@Kitmondo.com
Can I stop receiving enquiries for a while?
Simply login and visit your My Preferences area and tick the “Make my listings invisible” box. This will make all your listings on the site invisible to buyers meaning you will not receive any sales enquiries. You can untick the box at any time to make your listings visible again.

Do I have to register?
Searching the listings on Kitmondo doesn’t require registration. However, if you want create your own listings you do need to register.
How do I find equipment on Kitmondo?
There are several ways to locate equipment on the site. The quickest way is by entering the manufacture name or model name of the item you’re looking for into the search box that you will find on every page of the Kitmondo website. This will present you with all the relevant results for your search.
For example entering Arri 435 into the search box will show all the Arri 435 cameras listed on the site
Alternatively, if you’re not sure of the model name/number or if you want to perform a more general search then click on the category or sub-category that best matches the equipment you’re looking for.
e.g clicking on 35mm Movie Camera under the Cameras and Lenses sub-category will show all the 35mm cameras listed on the site.
You can find a complete list of our categories by clicking the Buy button, which you will find at the top of every page underneath the Kitmondo logo.
How can I narrow my search?
If you’re browsing an entire category or sub-category you will see a list of the sub-sets of that category in a box down the left hand side of the page. Click on any of the links to narrow your search.
Can I sort the listings?
At the top of the listings page you will see the following headings:
Sell/Buy Mfr. Model Description
Age Price Country
Clicking any of the underlined headings will automatically list the results in ascending or descending order.
Can I save listings to look at later on?
Yes. On each individual item page you will see a button labelled Add to Saved Listings. Click this button and the listing you are looking at will be added to your Saved Listings. You can access your saved listings by clicking the Saved Listings button.

What is a For Sale listing?
Create a For Sale listing if you wish to sell a piece of equipment.
What is a WantToBuy listing?
Create a WantToBuy listing if you wish to buy a piece of equipment.
How do I create a For Sale or WantToBuy listing for a
single piece of equipment?
Click the My Kitmondo link or button, which you will find on every page of the site. If you are not already logged in you will be asked for your email address and password. Once you’re logged in, click on the Add New Listing button and this will take you to a page with two options: One-by-One and Multiple Listings. Click the button under One-by-One. On the following page select For Sale or WantToBuy from the dropdown box and then simply enter the equipment details into the fields provided, select the options from the dropdown menus and attach a photo if you have one. Once you’ve entered all the information, click Submit and your listing will be uploaded to the site in a couple of minutes.
How do I create For Sale or WantToBuy listings for
several pieces of equipment?
Simply send us a list of the equipment and we will upload it to Kitmondo.com on your behalf.
We can convert almost any stock list format into listings on Kitmondo.com. However, the closer your stock list format matches our own formatting the quicker we can upload your equipment and start sending you sales enquiries. If possible please include the following information:
- Equipment Category Name
- Manufacturer Name
- Model Name
- Description
- Price
- Age
If you are attaching photos, please ensure they are 30kb or less and the filenames are also are named on the stock list against the appropriate piece of equipment (so we can match them up).

How do I edit or update my For Sale or WantToBuy listings?
On your My Listings page you can view all your listings and next to each listing there is a button labelled edit. Clicking the button takes you to the editing page where you can change or update the listing.
How long will my listing stay on the site?
Your For Sale or WantToBuy listing will stay on the site for 90 days. During the 90 days we will send you occasional emails asking you if you wish to renew the listing i.e. start a new 90 day period.
How do I renew my For Sale or WantToBuy listings?
To renew your listings, go to your My Listings page. Any listing that is ready to renew will have a tick box available under the Renew column. Tick the boxes of the items you wish to rethen click the Renew button at the bottom of the column. Your listings will be renewed for another 90 days.
I don’t know which category to list my equipment in. What should I do?
Try entering the model name into the Search box and seeing if similar equipment is already listed and, if so, which category they have been posted.
How do I delete a listing?
In your My Listings area you can view all your listings and next to each listing there is a tick box. Ticking the box and clicking the Delete button will delete the listing.
How can I improve the performance of my For Sale listing?
First and foremost try to do everything to maximise the likelihood that a searcher (a prospective buyer) clicks on your listing. We find the listings that receive the most clicks include the following information:
- a price
- a photo
- are listed in the correct category, sub-category and sub-sub
category
I can’t find a relevant category for my equipment.
Kitmondo is the most comprehensive used equipment website with over 600 different categories. However, we are always keen to receive suggestions for new categories so if you can’t find a relevant category why not send us your ideas to customerservice@Kitmondo.com

I’ve forgotten my password, what can I
do?
Simply click here
and enter the email address you used during registration. We will forward your password to you.
How do I add or change my contact details?
Click the My Account button at the top of the My Kitmondo
page. Click on the Account Information button. You will see
your existing account information along with a button titled Change.
Click the Change button, make the changes your require then click the Update
button.
