The Leica DM4000 M materials microscope can be used with all common incident light methods and operates with a mechanical Z-drive. The microscope also automatically recognizes the contrast technique used so there is no need to make adjustments; the light intensity automatically adjusts to the objectives so the brightness of the image remains constant when switching to a different magnification. Features a fully automated incident light axis for brightfield, darkfield, polarization, interference contrast, and fluorescence.
