Spectronic 20D

Listing description

This listing is for a well tested Spectronic 20D spectrophotometer. Both 0% and 100% transmittance set easily. We installed a new bulb and have tested it with a fluorescein solution since fluorescein has a relatively narrow absorbance maximum.

Testing Results
Maximum absorbance of fluorescein was observed at 485 nm and started to quickly drop off after 505 nm (as expected). The same solution gave essentially the same absorbance when tested with other spectrophotometers. When solution was diluted by 25% with water, the absorbance reading also fell 25%. When solution was diluted by 50% with water, the absorbance reading also fell 50%. Readings were stable and experienced no fluctuations. Feel free to ask questions!
