Sumitomo SD30

Listing description

1996 Sumitomo SD30 - 30 Ton hydraulic injection molding machine. This machine was originally the first machine imported to the U.S. in 1996 and was used for sales demo in Sumitomo's Norcross, GA Facility. It was then sold and was used in R&D until 2003 when it was consigned to the University of Massachusetts Plastcis Engineering department but was never installed. It has been warehouse since this time but is is great working order.
Less than 2400 hours on the motor.
Also includes Yushin DRD1 dual axis servo take-out with a .23 second removal time. Was used with optical grade polycarbonate and a few hundred pounds of PMMA. Also includes 4 Conair mold temperature controllers 460V 3PH and 1HP pumps.
This was used in the Optical Disc industry and for Demo's and R&D only, has not seen production. Can be viewed and inspected for a $78 dollar fee at its storage facility in New Hampshire.
