The Cell-Dyn CD-1800 is the best of Abbott's line of durable 3-part differential analyzers. It has been discontinued, replaced by the "Emerald" model, which has nothing in common with any previous Cell-Dyn's and is manufactured in Europe. It is a light-duty instrument, and has yet to prove itself.

The Cell-Dyn CD-1800 is clearly a better choice.

The measurement technology in this instrument is proven for more than 20 years, having been introduced in the CD-1600 and carried forward in the CD-1400 and CD-1700.

The CD-1800 runs 60 CBC's per hour. It has an internal computer with Color LCD screen and LIS interface capability, fully compatible with the CD-1700. It includes a keyboard and a printer. Dot matrix printer (Okidata
320 Turbo) and Laser printer (HP 1320 or Okidata B410D) are all available for the same price - please specify on the order page - We recommend the HP-1320 with this instrument.Patient name & comments on report.
