Cumberland Plastics were formed in 1939 in Wisconsin, USA. They are still based in New Berlin in Wisconsin and are leaders in the production of technology for size reduction machines and solutions in the polymer industry.
In 1999 Cumberland were acquired by ACS Group of Companies, based in Schaumberg Illinois. ACS have a range of companies that designs, manufactures, markets and supports one of the most comprehensive lines of auxiliary products for the plastics processing industry. Other businesses within the ACS Group are Sterling, AEC and Colortronic. In 2001 ACS Group were then acquired by The Harbour Group, a company based in St Louis, Missouri. Harbour are a global leader in a variety of industrial and consumer manufacturing businesses having acquired over 165 companies since 1976.
Cumberland Plastics have a range of over 70 models of size reduction machines and also specialise in scrap recycling and reclaim solutions. With many modular designs to suit work of all shapes and sizes Cumberland offer under the press granulators, beside the press granulators, central and tangential granulators, pelletizers, thermoform machines and shredders.
Cumberland have won many awards, including in 2012, Plastics World, acclaimed the company’s approach to new environmental innovation and in 2010 at the K Awards the new 1600x Series of granulators was awarded the Award for engineering.
Cumberland manufactures machines in Wisconsin but has a global network of sales agents and distributors who sell the product range. Cumberland offer warranty and refurbishment options on its entire product range, along with full parts and software support.
