Listing description

This unit was removed from a working environment and still has good life on it. I called tech support on this unit and they confirmed that there were no issues with this machine in their system and that the company it belonged to took great care of it. As you can see in the pictures the plates and belt look to be in good condition with no signs of stretching. Unfortunately, we do not have the power supply for this machine so we were not able to run it.

The Rigaku R-Axis IV Detector measures diffracted X-rays from single crystal samples ranging from small molecule to macromolecular (protein) crystals. The R-Axis IV measures the entire diffraction pattern in a short time and with high precision, which is imperative for determining the increasingly sought three-dimensional structure of small molecules (e.g., intermediates during reaction pathway, unstable materials) and macromolecules (e.g., new medicines, biosensor, functional materials and recording medium).
High-speed x-ray diffractometer provides a detection aperture that is 2.25 times larger, 4.0 times higher, and twice as sensitive as the previous model
Uses a large, 300 mm imaging plate (IP) to rapidly measure diffracted X-rays from single crystal samples
Accelerates readout time to 3 minutes
Provides a detection sensitivity of one X-ray photon/pixel
Goniometer head serve as a rigid--but adjustable--crystal mount
