Title: Jones and Shipman 1310 universal, precision ID/OD grinder, high accuracy, suitable for gauges.
Range of use: Universal. Jones and Shipman is a high quality, reliable, well designed and built, precision machine for fine and complex jobs (Tapers, cylindrical parts, outer and inner diameter grinding, shoulder grinding, etc..
Condition: In very good original (unaltered) condition, from 2nd owner. Little used & partially reconditioned, precise, lovely machine. The paint is missing/pitted at some places which is normal.

Reconditioning reason:
Since we recondition and rebuild precision machines we needed a high precision, reliable, small-medium machine in our workshop, in order to grind machine tool parts and arbours. Machine only used occasionally. Why we sell it then? Because we also have a Studer 1000B/C high precision Swiss made tool rom grinder, that would replace this J&S in case sold, but we cannot keep two machines in the tool room due limited space, so one has to sell unfortunately.
The machine had a very limited wear (~0,01mm) but for high precision grinding we needed these areas to be serviced, to ensure perfect geometry and restore slide bearing pockets:
We reconditioned so far:
-Table longitudinal ways flat & V plus counter parts re-scraped.
- Table flat support surface and counterpart re-scraped.
- Work head foot re-scraped and reset.
- Tailstock serviced, foot scraped and reset.
- All above related parts cleaned and greased.
- Hydraulic hoses, rod and seals, hyd. motor bearings replaced.
- Bore grinding spindle serviced, precision bearings replaced.
- New work light installed.
- New grinding wheel fit.

The machine is very quiet, has precise semi-automatic cross feed mechanism.
