The Agilent G1956B Liquid Chromatography Mass Spectrometer system has the dynamic range and repeatability needed for most quantitative applications. Mass spectrometry partnered with liquid chromatography (LC/MS) surpasses analytical speed, sensitivity and selectivity than that of more traditional methods, making it an ideal choice for a variety of applications in pharmaceutical, clinical, government and university laboratories. Mass spectrometry precisely determines compound identities and quantities with in a sample in an exceptionally sensitive and specific analytical manner.

The Agilent G1956B Liquid Chromatography Mass Spectrometer offers high sensitivity, making it capable of detecting compounds without a strong chromophore where others would not. This single quad mass spectrometer has a mass resolution to m/z 3000 that allows for the characterization of proteins beyond 60000 KDalton. The extended mass range of 3000 m/z makes the Agilent G1956B LC/MS detector adept at studying modified proteins such as glycoproteins where the charge distribution falls above m/z 2000.
