The Fusion Microlite 200PC Photostabilization system uses a special process to harden and impact high-temperature stability to photoresist materials on semiconductor wafers. Photostabilized wafers are capable of withstanding high temperature hard baking. AL plasma etching or high current ion implantation without loss of image fidelity.
In the photostabilization ptocess wafers are simultaneously heated and exposed to intense ultraviolet light. Figure 1-1 is a representation of the photo stabilization process in a production environment. The hardening or "stabilizing" effect is brought about by the cross-linking of polymers within the photoresist material.
