The GEA Niro Pharma Systems Aeromatic Fielder mixing/drying system is an advanced, high-performance solution for pharmaceutical manufacturing. It comprises a high shear mixer, type PMA 1200, constructed from polished stainless steel with a total capacity of 1200 liters and a working capacity of 900 liters. The mixer is equipped with a chopper and a special mixing tool for high shear pelletization, optimizing the process and maximizing output.

The system also includes a wet pelletizing process, which uses a rotary atomizer spray for excellent dispersion of binder liquid and a high-speed rotation blade for efficient pelletization. A unique PTFE container-lining minimizes the need for ‘top and tailing’, even with cohesive products, increasing production efficiency by up to 40%.

The melt pelletizing process is another feature, allowing for the production of pellets in a single step. The active material and binder are mixed in binder form and then heated until the binder melts, typically processing a single batch in just 15-20 minutes.

The system also includes a GEA cone mill and a GEA Niro fluid bed dryer, type Sirocco 1200, with a working capacity of 958 liters, rated for 150 PSI. The dryer includes controls, a CIP system, and explosion valves. All components were manufactured in 2008. This comprehensive system offers a robust solution for pharmaceutical manufacturing needs.
