Board edging line Ahlstrom SS10 guarantees a high, continuous yield. Scanning starts after centering and acceleration of the board. Instead of positioning the board, the edger heads are moved to the optimum set size and location which can also be asymmetric to the center line. This guarantees functional accuracy, which is a precondition of a high yield. A computer controls the unscrambler functions and gives a warning signal for example if a board is lifted in a wrong position.

Speed of the hydraulically driven unscrambler can be steplessly adjusted. The dog carriers are specially developed to move unedged boards. Four photo cells register the board's position and length for centering. A grading position is located at the top of the unscrambler where the board stops to wait for a function impulse. If so desired, the grading stop can be by-passed. Double boards are kicked down by a kick-off device.
