2004 Gottschild CBS-3800-2 thermofoil trimming / brushing machine.

The machine features a two-head trimming system with an eight-head rotating disk brushing system for PVC foil laminated 3-D furniture components. Overhead trimming system removes entire overlapping PVC foil edge from panels. Main machine functions are controlled by a touch screen PLC controller with fully programable cutting and brushing parameters. Automatic part recognition of size and thickness enables random loading.

Low hours with 2500 hours total production time.

Trimming Station: Two-head rotating round knife trimming system with a third non rotating triangular piercing knife.

Brushing Station: 8 inverter driven brushing motors are controlled by sensors in front of each brush head. Incoming parts activate the sensors turning the head on and off, raising and lower it while controlling pneumatic pressure of each head. The buffing of rectangular and contour parts is not a problem.

Programable Cutting Parameters:

Y Axis Cutting Speed: - Leading or trailing edge cut variable from 60-110m/min.
Overhang Speed: - Speed and which the cutting or trailing edge foil is pierced and cut. 1,5 – 4 m/min.
Slow Ahead of Edge: - Distance (6-8mm) ahead of the edge when the cutting speed is reduced to the overhang speed.
Overhang: - Distance (10-15mm) the trimming knife covers after cutting through the foil at overhang speed.

Brushing Parameters:

Belt Speed Brushing Unit: Variable 8 and 12 m/min
Pressure ON/OFF: The distance that has to be covered by the brush after touching the panel (approx. 80mm).

-Inverter controlled Infeed belt speed variable from 30 - 60 M/min
