HA20x7.8B-M10 cine zoom lens has traditional film style feel and operation with excellent geometry behavior for digital motion picture production of prime time drama and episodic television, television commercials, and feature movies.
The lens weighing 1.65kg is small and lightweight, perfect for shooting handheld, on compact tripod, lightweight jib-arm or Steadicam.
The lens offers focus rotation of 200 degrees for easier and more exact focusing, with little focus "breathing". Minimal chromatic aberration and improved edge-to-edge sharpness provide excellent image quality for digital imaging. Combined with an exceptionally long focal length of 7.8-156mm (19.5mm - 390mm in Academy 35), the lens has a wide angle of view of 63 degrees at 7.8mm.
Other features include: significantly reduced flare, with an exceptionally sharp, flat picture and virtually no curvature of the field; no apparent Geometric Distortion and dramatically reduced color aberration.
