The IKA CMS 2000 is an in-line mixer that creates a powerful vacuum to feed powders at high flow rates and disperse them in a liquid stream. The extremely high suction capacity is ideal for wetting difficult to mix powders. The CMS is usually installed in a batch (recirculating) arrangement. The machine has two horizontal liquid connections and one vertical solid connection. The liquid connection (liquid inlet and mixture outlet) is attached to a container. Solids are sucked on the vertical connection (solid inlet). Solids and liquids are transported in two separate rotor stages and are only combined in the area with the highest turbulence, which guarantees product dispersion without agglomeration.
