The KISS 103 Selective Solder Machine, manufactured in 2007, is a high-precision device designed for soldering tasks. It can handle PCB panels ranging from a minimum size of 2" x 2" (50mm x 50mm) to a maximum of 24" x 18" (600mm x 450mm), and even up to 48" in length with manual step over.
The machine’s motion capabilities include a Z-axis and X and Y axes, both with an accuracy/repeatability of +/- .002" and speeds of 0-3 inches/sec and 0-4 inches/sec respectively. The solder pot features PID proportioning temperature control (0-400°C ± 2°C), a capacity of 30 lbs. (14 kilos), and is PC controlled.
The KISS 103 operates on a Windows 7 O/S with a SWAK programming interface. Physically, it measures 58" wide x 57" deep x 54" high (1473mm wide x 1447mm deep x 1371mm high) and weighs 930 lbs. (422 kilos) when dry.
For power, it requires 120VAC/1 Ph/60 Hz 15 amps domestically, and 208-230VAC/1 Ph/60 Hz 8 amps internationally. If pre-heating, an additional outlet with 208-230VAC/1 Ph/60 Hz 30 amps is needed. The machine also requires air pressure between 90-100 PSI, nitrogen that is 99.999% pure at 30-50 CFH @ 60-100 PSI, and a recommended exhaust of 250 CFM with two 4" diameter take-offs at the rear panel.
