The MARCHESINI GROUP FB 420 is a high-speed, fully automatic packaging machine, designed with a balcony structure and independent servo-driven stations. It’s a mechanical intermittent motion machine with a stainless steel finish and PC-controlled operation.

This machine is specifically designed for pharmaceutical production environments. It thermoforms trays for vials, ampoules, syringes, and similar products using thermoformable films such as PVC, PET, Polystyrene (PS), PP, PLA, and multilayer laminates.

The FB 420 is known for its robustness, modular structure, and simple operation. Its tool-less changeover feature makes it highly flexible, efficient, and easy to service. The machine’s cycle speed is adjustable from the main HMI under size-dedicated recipes, and it features two web-index grippers for precision in pitch repeatability.

The machine is equipped with an integrated Robomaster for product pick-and-place and is prepared for connection from/to in-line integrated machines. It also offers high-speed, fully automatic positive product feeding systems.

The FB 420 has a high draw depth of up to 42 mm and offers a ZERO-WASTE version (FBZ) with a quick die-cutter. It can produce up to 48,000 syringes per hour. The machine requires 36 KW of power and consumes 1150 Nl/min of compressed air (6-8 bar) and approximately 370 L/h of cooling water.
