The Mydata M12 Pick and Place Machine, introduced in 2001, is a highly versatile piece of equipment designed to cater to the needs of high-mix electronics manufacturers. This all-rounder machine is capable of performing both high-speed mounting and fine-pitch placement, making it an invaluable asset in any production line.
One of the standout features of the Mydata M12 is its impressive placement rate. In standard performance mode, it can achieve a rate of 6,500 components per hour (CPH). When using the HYDRA Speedmount, this rate can be boosted to a staggering 21,000 CPH for chips. For fine-pitch components, the Linescan Vision System (LVS) allows for a placement rate of 6,100 CPH.
Accuracy is another area where the Mydata M12 shines, boasting a repeatability of 15 mm at 3 sigma. This ensures precise placement of components, which is crucial in high-density PCB assemblies.
The machine also offers a generous feeder capacity, accommodating 144 x 8 mm tapes, or 135 SOIC tubes. With the TEX option, it can handle 112 x 8 mm tapes and 32 JEDEC trays simultaneously.
Running on the Linux-based TPSys system software, the Mydata M12 offers sophisticated real-time control with multi-user, multi-tasking, and multi-product production capabilities. It also includes a user access system for protecting databases and functions from unauthorized operators, and an Event log for easy access to management and quality data from production. This makes the Mydata M12 not just a powerful machine, but also a smart one, capable of adapting to the ever-evolving needs of electronics manufacturing.
