Camcorder PMW-500 second hand Sony professional XDCAM HD422 with solid state recording. It supports Full-HD 422 MXF recording and playback at 50 Mbps based on highly evolved MPEG-2 Long GOP compression technology. Uniquely, it can also be switched to MP4 HD 420 recording at 35 Mbps, which allows for seamless integration when used in conjunction with XDCAM EX models.

Three 2/3″ Power HAD FX CCD sensors deliver the same outstanding image quality and low-light performance as the acclaimed PDW-700, however, it records to SxS solid-state memory rather than Professional Disc optical media.

Sony's range of XDCAM products have set the standard for speed and flexibility in file-based workflows. XDCAM Professional Disc products were first introduced in 2004, followed by high-speed memory-based XDCAM EX in 2007. A common technology platform provides a unique hybrid workflow to meet a wide variety of customer application needs.
