Incorporating heating elements in all five walls, the exclusive hybrid heating system creates a warm air jacket around the inner chamber, guaranteeing superior temperature uniformity without hot spots. The system also provides the best of convection and gravity—through temperature uniformity—without the disadvantages of samples drying and cross contamination. The heating elements, located outside the chamber’s interior (bottom, back, both sides and door), ensure exceptional temperature uniformity and recovery. No need to worry about heater element damage from spills either—the inner chamber is completely sealed and the low-watt density heating elements are safely isolated from the work chamber.

The controls of the General Purpose Incubator 1500 Series are PID digital set-point, digital read display. The keypad operation is user friendly and offers the ability to calibrate the display to a reference thermometer. In addition, a user adjustable over-temperature safety controller is standard. In the unlikely event that the main controller fails, the safety controller will take control of the unit, protecting the samples and the unit itself. Other safety features include a circuit breaker, tempered safety glass door, no chamber heating elements and deburred shelves.
