The MARCHESINI GROUP MC 820 is a state-of-the-art automatic horizontal case packer. It is compact, ergonomic, and robust, designed with innovative and versatile robotic solutions that significantly enhance performance in terms of speed and flexibility.

The machine is fully automated, with all operations performed by brushless motors and controlled by a PC. The case blank is fed into the magazine, which is ergonomically positioned at the front of the machine. An arm equipped with suction cups picks up the case blank and transfers it to the opening unit, ensuring perfect squaring by holding it from the top and bottom.

Products arriving from the infeed belt are grouped and vertically stacked inside the hopper before being pushed into the case. A pick-and-place mechanism with grippers can also be provided. Chain conveyors then transfer the case to the flap folding and taping area, where the depth of the taping units is simultaneously adjusted.

The machine operates at a mechanical speed of 10 cases per minute, with the pick & place unit of the case packer capable of up to 50 product picking cycles per minute. It can accommodate a wide range of product and case sizes, with the product infeed at 870 ± 50 mm and case discharge ranging from 440 to 555 mm.
