The PLUMAT FFS3000/1 is a fully automated form, fill, and seal machine specifically designed for the production of Intravenous (IV) bags. It is capable of handling IV bags of varying sizes, including 100ml, 250ml, and 500ml, each equipped with two ports.

The IV bags are fabricated from a Polyolefin double wound multi-layer flat film, such as Plycline APP114, Sangewald Propyflex, Wipak Infuking, or Cryovac M312-A. The film thickness tolerance is a maximum of 10%. The bags can be printed using a hot foil printing technique, with a maximum printing area of 200x120 mm per bag.

The machine operates using a contact heat welding method, with a welding temperature range of 100° C – 250° C, with a precision of +/- 2° C. The port and cap designs are based on the PLEUMAT SFC-port and Pleumat sfc-CAP layouts, respectively.

In terms of performance, the machine boasts an output of 1250 bags per hour for 500ml bags, based on non-foaming products and a liquid pressure of 1.0-5.0 bar +/-0.2 bar. The changeover time is approximately 30 minutes. The filling temperature has a maximum limit of 55° C, and the filling range spans from 100ml to 2000ml. The filling accuracy varies depending on the volume, with a maximum accuracy of 0.5% for 1000ml.

The filling system is equipped with one mass flow meter system, complete with electromagnetic filling valves and a microprocessor control unit. It is suitable for automatic Cleaning-In-Place (CIP) and Sterilization-In-Place (SIP) up to a maximum of 125° C. It is also prepared for inline sterilization, which means no dismounting of any parts is required. The CIP/SIP device is included.

The machine requires a power feed of 230/400 V, 50 Hz +/- 10%, with a power connection of approximately 14 kW for the Fill Seal Line FFS – 3000/1 and approximately 8.4 kW for the LF-unit. It uses compressed air at 6 bar, free of oil and dry, with a suction capacity of approximately 220 l/min at 18° C.

All product contact parts are made of stainless steel 1.4404/1.4571, while other product contact parts such as flexible hoses and gaskets are made of Silicon, Teflon, and EPDM. All other parts are made of stainless steel 1.43014. The pipe connections meet the requirements of DIN 11850 and the sterile screws meet the requirements of DIN 11861/1.

The machine requires one permanent operator, with a second operator necessary only for film change. The operator interface language is available in both English and Cyrillic.
